I catch Jeopardy every chance I can. I think I saw this guy on the other night, but I don't remember what his name was. That is an unbelievable run to win that many times in a row. He'll be on the Tournament of Champions for sure. I could take him though. J/K. But I am the undisputed Jeopardy champ of the house. I usually pull some answer completely out of my backside and everyone just looks at me in frustration and asks "how could you possibly know that!" I usually just laugh, shrug my shoulders, and remind them that I am a veritable wealth of completely useless information. My g/f's mom gave me the PS2 version of Jeopardy for my last birthday and I love playing it. One day after dinner we had a good little game going on, but I was really tired after working 11+ hours that day in the sun and I fell asleep, controller in hand, before the end of round one. They woke me up after they noticed that I hadn't been trying to ring in for a while, and I got to playing again for the last few questions of round two. I still won the game by a decent margin after the Final Jeopardy question even though I slept through half the game, LOL. My g/f's one older sister has a b/f who always tries so hard to beat me at this and let's just say that he was more than a little ticked off that day. >I Jeopardy!

I've seen a few of the Jennings-Jeopardy eposides... heck, he should go ahead and get his own Jeopardy mini-series! This guy is tearin' it up. Look out Alex Trebeck (sp?)... Ken might take your job!I like the "GenVibe Jeopardy" suggestion Rob, I'm all for that.

Quote »Utah Man Wins More Than $500K on JeopardyThu Jun 24,10:59 AM ET By CHRISTIE L. HILL, Associated Press Writer SALT LAKE CITY - A Utah man is the new Jeopardy! king, having pocketed more than a half-million dollars during a dominating 16-show run on the quiz show. AP Photo Ken Jennings was seen on his 16th straight Jeopardy! episode Wednesday, winning once again to bring his total winnings to $512,959. The 30-year-old software engineer broke the Jeopardy! record early in his run. Tom Walsh, of Washington, D.C., held the previous mark, earning $184,900 in seven days on the show in January. Then along came Jennings, who is no stranger to the world of quick quiz. He was a member of Brigham Young University's successful College Bowl team in the 1990s. Jennings also edits literature and mythology questions for the National Academic Quiz Tournament. Jennings' Jeopardy! streak is over, though viewers may not realize it. The Jeopardy! episodes featuring him were taped in February, and Jennings is back home in Utah, though he is refusing comment for now. After the show featured him passing the $250,000 mark last week, Jennings told The Salt Lake Tribune, "It's a little bit like shock, like you can't believe how fast it goes by. Thinking back, it's all just a blur." Two Jeopardy! rule changes over the years have helped Jennings set the record. Jeopardy! recently dropped a restriction that limits champions to only five days on the show. The value of the questions are also worth double what they used to be.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
natural reaction... I'm not offended, I actually think it's kinda funny because my friends brother met this girl, she converted him to the morman faith, and they actually moved to Utah. So anyhow, to stay on topic, is this guy's winning streak over on TV? I know he actually played back in like February as the article said, but are they done showing all of his wins on TV now?Must be one smart Effer.
A really bright and well rounded female freind tested to get on the show last week with 50 other people. Answered 50 difficult questions and got 45 right. She felt like she ruled. They took 7 from the group to move on and she wasn't one of them. Thems some smart folks on there.

I wish I could see the show, but it is on at like 3:00 in the afternoon here, and I don't get off work until 4:30. The guy sounds amazing. On Good Morning America they show his wins sometimes and he is clearing like 40 grand at a time. I remember like 5 or 7 years ago that 10 grand was a really good day.I hope this won't turn out to be a "Quiz Show" type of event where he is getting the answers fed to him.

The guy is pretty amazing but there have been a lot of really smart people on jeopardy in the past before they lifted the 5 day rule... I wonder what he's like in daily life, I can just see him as the annoying know-it-all guy
So it should be late enough now ... did he win tonight? I saw him on Leno (I think) last night. Today is the season finale of Jeopardy. Will he be back next season?

Jennings, a Mormon, will donate 10 percent ofhis winnings to his church -- and a European vacation is planned, "probablya really nice one." He'll hardly slip back into anonymity; he's visitingDavid Letterman and Regis Philbin this week, has a book deal and is open toany commercial sponsorship opportunities. He's in a new tax bracket now, and H&R Block is making sure he'll alwaysremember the company for other reasons: It has offered him free taxpreparation for life.
