I just installed an aftermarket HU with my 2003 vibe. I got the scosche bracket, wireing harness and the FAI-3 (I think) line level converter. I got everything in and everything, and its working. I installed the line level converter between the wiring harness from the stereo and the factory harness. The converter isnt that small, but there was room back there. I just kinda laid it down where I could. Im wondering if that is going to be okay just sitting back there. I tried to get it to sit on top but it didnt want to go. Any hints, congrats, or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

If your connections are tight enough, you shouldn't have to worry about it. The biggest concern would be something coming loose. If you're very concerned, get some cable ties and tie the unit to something behind the dash to keep it from flopping around.

The things did seem to get stuffed in there pretty good. I have to take it all out again to adjust the converter (too low). Thanks for the peice of mind. Its amazing how crappy factory speakers are. I didn't really notice until the new HU. Thanks again...

Just curious, but do you have the M&T system? An amplifier under the passenger seat?
