Hey all - just got home. I was surprised we had 10 vehicles at the rally.. the turnout was better than I personally expected! It was good to meet up with everyone, BS, and eat... etc. The ride back was good too. Thanks to Rob (silverawd26) for planning the event and leading the caravan in the right direction to the park and restaurant - you did a good job! And to Inder (TRD4reel) for guiding me back to I-75. Here are my pics: http://gallery.genvibe.com/gallery/04miniMich-Nick

Roadtrip! Roadtrip! Roadtrip! So, how many miles IS IT from Fenton Michigan to Eagle River AK?According to Mapblast: Start: Fenton, Michigan, United States End: Eagle River (neighborhood), Anchorage, Alaska, United States Total one-way distance: 3862.7 MilesEstimated one-way total time: 64 hours, 37 minutesHeck, a roundtrip in only a week (178 hours), allowing almost 49 hours for eating, sleeping, and repairs after tangling with a friendly moose or two.

(removed)! it sure would! actually, i believe the subaru owners have a big timed cross country rally they take. that would actually be really cool to do, you know? a big cross country caravan up the alcan hwy! you do know that many people dream of someday driving that highway! not really sure why, but it is pretty cool and beautiful driving thru BC, yukon, and throughout Alaska.

I'd love for us to organize a cross-country group roadtrip to California to tour the NUMMI plant, meet everybody, etc. We could have checkpoints along the way, picking up more and more members as we progressed across the country, and it would just be a lot of fun, especially if we all booked the same hotel each night. Not doing it as a race, but just a caravan.

It would really be like a weeklong trip, and it wouldn't have to be that expensive, if we didn't stay at Sheratons. (Okay, a two week trip if you actually come home. )Sponsorship ideas, anyone? Connections?

Nice work BTW for all those wondering who the h*ll Dima is, he is my friend from around here. He doesn't have a Vibe (he's a civic guy lol, no rice though his car's real nice lookin and no spoiler or fart cannon) He loves Vibes so I think he's coming with me to the Fenton meet too.

You just like Russians don't you lol. I do too. Once at a party he was first to fall asleep and he shot up in bed and looked over at me and started screaming at me in Russian with his eyes closed, still asleep then he layed back down. It was nuckin futs!Anyways this isn't a Dima forum so we will converse with him at the next meet.It turned out to be a descent day afterall. The sun broke thourgh a bunch of times during the meet. Cleared up just in time for work so I had some nice weather to taught me while I pushed carts (removed)!....Man that chicken Quasidilla was delicious

I tried IM'ing Waterford Hills to see how much they'd charge us to do a one day thingy but they never got back to me. I figured it would be cool. My friend would go w/ the Lotus Car Club of Michigan to their Raceweekend at Grattan.
