alaska is #45, but not surprising... just go out to the rural bush areas and you will know why we rank so low! then compare it to the anchorage areas and you will see a HUGE difference! just a very different life style and culture out there.
California #43 - You mean there are 7 other states with more stupid people than mine? All kidding asside, the "States received negative points for high drop-out rates and physical violence" probably had a lot to do with California's low ranking.

Pol Forum is right.

Don't take this the wrong way (I don't want to offend anyone*), I realize many people don't have the opportunity to get a good education for either personal or economical reasons, but people who do have the opportunity to get educated but don't are either lazy or dumb (IMO).Just like we both dislike "…people who never had anything better to do than study, who then think that they are more intelligent than you." I dislike people who are lazy and throw away every opportunity for a good education and say "I don’t need an education to prove I am smart" or "I am a victim of my surroundings so I can’t educated" or “insert next lame excuse here>â€Â   *my dad is the smartest person I know, yet he only made to a 3rd grade education because of WWII.

Well, I must say that as an employee of the public school system in Billings, I'm glad to see MT in the top 10. Must mean that we're doing our jobs well.

I've been meaning to ask you if your "keep right" sign pointing to the left came from this state. But ahh, I love it here! I'm a transplant, but I feel much more at home here than I did where I previously lived, so I definitely consider myself a Hooiser. lol The strange, sometimes backwards way we do things somehow feels right to me.
