17" Wheel and Tire Size

hey guys, i have a 2003 GT , with the 17" Rims, what is the size of the tire? and the width ? i have looked around and cant find exactly which winter tires to get, i found a calculator so i just need the original size thanks.

hey, platinum. if you do a search, you'll find a LOT of threads on this. in fact i just posted in one last night on the same exact question on which winter tires to get for the 17" wheels. are you keeping them on the 17's or you going with 15's or 16's like most of us have?

thats for the reply, but it doesnt say the actual size anywhere for the GT 17" option, i only foujd this : "I currently have factory 215/50-17's" , but am not sure if it is the same size as the GT, i am looking to put on some steel 16" , and will find the appropriate size if i can figure out the size of the ones i have now, thanks.

yes, that should be it. there are no difference on the 17's between GT or base models, just whether or not the tires were the factory 17's.

mine are the Dunlop summer tires on the 17" upgrade, with the low profiles, i hope its the same thanks your help.

later today, i'll go check mine out. i have the same, and changed them over a few wks ago. then will confirm that's the correct size.

215/50 -17 is the one and only 17" stock Vibe tire

yep. 215/50/17 are it! just verified my tire size too.

i used the calculator and i think i've found the perfect size for my vibe. P205/65R/15 , the calculator shows a 0.1% difference from the P215/50R/17 :D
