CAI for 04 GT

Post by Roadpig »

OK, I'm ready to buy a CAI for my Vibe. I see that Ptuning has them for $255 & $263 (polished vs black). Now, is there a cheaper place to buy one? My internet searches aren't turning up anything useful. My last purchase from ptuning was the Magnaflow exhaust and that was rather expensive....Not only that, but since I live in VA the 5% "savings" is offset by the 4.5% sales tax

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting Get this thing. I sware, and I **** you not, this is a good intake system. I just installed mine and it works fantastic. The directions are horrible, but I used an installation guide here and got further advice from another member of this forum and I have not thrown a CEL up since, have decent gains (not much to be expected from a CAI...I can feel a jump that my car did not previously have...or more of a jump) and it sounds and looks awesome.....oh, and did I mention how cheap it is. I care immensely about my car...and I baby the hell out of it. I decided one day that I wanted a CAI but didnt want to spend hundreds. Sure, I was skeptical...but Im telling you, I cant see a difference between this and my friends AEM short ram. This one even comes with a K&N filter replica, that I sware, I cant see a difference between the two...and I have had a K&N in my hands up close...they are identical.

I thought you had to get one with a fitting for that smog pump thing they put on the '04 GT. What did you end up doing with it?

That's only for the CAI. The smog hose is in the wheel well. So, that's why the 2004 intake is a little different.Inder
