I wasn't saying that your idle bump was a result of turning the wheel. Was just using that as an example of how a small load can result in the computer bumping the idle a little. I remember checking the NHTSA list of gripes about these cars, and there were several about idle surges, although some people reported having idle jump by thousands of RPMs, not just 100. I remember someone saying they were going to sue either GM or Toyota because they were caught off guard and bumped the car in front at a stoplight. I couldn't turn up any threads here about this specific problem, but did find this one over on MV, sounds like what you've got, and that you're not alone, but there was no "fix"
