Different Headlights

Post by redlava »

My Silverstars finally burnt out on my trip home from the Iowa-Illinois game. So I decided to try a different brand. I bought "ultra plasma white" made by APC and the NAPA store. I see them all the time at different auto parts stores so they are easy to find. They were $27 so they were a lot cheaper than the Silverstars. They are not quite as bright white as the Silverstars, but they put out just as much light. They are much better than the standard halogens and fairly reasonably priced so if you are looking for brighter headlights but don't want to pay $40 bucks you might want to check these out.

You'll let us know if they pop in three months, right, Red?PS: I'm seeing prime time TV ads for SilverStars these days. Guess when you build them for the same price as regular bulbs and sell them for triple, it leaves a few extra bucks for advertising! [Although (knock on wood) one of my original SS bulbs is at 14 months and counting...]
