Arkon CM629 vent mount for PDAs... Would it fit well?

Post by huy397 »

Hello fellow Vibers.I am thinking of buying an Arkon CM629 for mounting my iPAQ H2210 on the vent.I am using my PPC as GPS tool with BT GPS, so the mount would only be used for securing the PPCHere are a few pics that I borrowed from a thread @ http://www.Mobile01.comHas anyone had any experience withi this mount on a Vibe?Other suggestions welcome as well, I am not looking to spend a forturne on the mount either.I don't need a powered mount as I alreayd have a car charger and I can normally hear the PPC just fine as it is.Thank you.

Pretty standard clips on the back..and no, it wouldn't work too well. Those're designed for the thin, flat vents like what you'd find on Honda's. They don't work very well with our type of vent, which is much thicker. I'd reccomend getting the pro-fit mount for the Vibe, or getting the Pro-Fit lo-boy mount and mounting it to the dash.
