Hey there guys... This is my first real post here on Gen Vibe. I have kinda joined the club awile ago but have been kinda non existant. I don't actually own a Vibe but my mom has one and I actually perfer driving it over my own car. I have a 92 Pontiac Sunbird... Lowered, Rims, Stereo. I actually will be selling my Sunbird hopefully by next Summer and purchasing a Vibe for myself.. So two in the family it will be. haha. I have to say I really love the 03 my mom has... it is a base FWD and the only options it has is the power package and automatic tranny. It is also Lava Red with the Graphite. So my real question is... when I go out and look for one myself.. I might be going used so if i do.. what should i look out for? I might also go new 05 if i can swing it. (Crossing fingers). Also I live in BC so i don't know if it will make a differance... but what i wanna know is obviously i will want to modify the Vibe (being that modin is in my blood). What can i do to the car to not void my warrenty and if i do something like lower it and get the dealership to install the springs, will they except the lowering springs under the factory warrenty? I plan to go far places with this club.. I am already a moderator and lower mainland events coordinator for the car club i am in at this moment know as BC J-Body. Is there a separate BC/Alaska/north Western US Vibe/Matrix club around that i don't know of?Well.. Hope you all can answer my loads of questions. btw. love the site and i know i'll learn alot on here.

You'll get more money for them that way, because they're not worth much on your car.I highly suggest the GT model when you go looking for a Vibe. It's van is fast, foo! Umm look for discoloration on the front of the rear fender flares on 2-tone models. There's a TSB that needs to be done to take care of that, so maybe you can use that to drive the price down, then take it to the dealer and get it fixed (assuming it's still got warranty left). Other than that I can't say anything other than the usual "make sure it's a quality automobile" stuff that applies to every used car.As far as voiding your warranty, I don't know if there's a Canadian equivalent of the Magnusson-Moss Act or not, which basically states that a dealer or manufacturer has to prove that your aftermarket part caused the mechanical failure in order to void warranty coverage for that particular issue. Maybe one of the Canadian members can answer that. But since GM does not offer lowering springs for the Vibe, they will not extend factory warranty coverage to the aftermarket lowering springs. Their coverage only extends to GM aftermarket parts.Welcome to the club/website/whatever it is!

Yeah, I would recommend getting the GT and also, I would probably recommend that you should change the clutch when you get it though, because from what I have heard, the stock clutch dies out pretty quickly.Inder
