NUMMI QA Phone Survey

Post by Jethro »

I had a nice phone call earlier this evening from a Pontiac/NUMMI representative doing a Quality Assurance survey.Basic questions like "how do you like your Pontiac Vibe", "have you had any trouble", and "is anything about the car annoying you"?Is this fairly routine or should I feel "special"? I DO feel special ... because I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me!This is the 6th new car I've purchased over the years and the first time I've ever had anybody from the manufacturer(!) - or even the dealers for that matter - ask my opinion of the car after the sale. Heck, we've all seen those signs on the roadway "Survey Crew Ahead", but not once have any of even those guys stopped me to ask my opinion!Seriously now, how many of you have received this type of phone call after purchasing your Vibe?

Sorta. I got a call from GM about attending a clinic for Vibe owners. Read all about it in these two threads:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... ad?id=1286

I got the same call. I also purchased a new Altima last year, and got a call from Nissan asking the same general questions shortly after. I've also had 3 follow-up calls from my salesman (a former student of mine and friend), and a mail survey from Pontiac to fill out.I'm guessing the calls are a fairly recent phenomena. Consumers with web access have such a greater chance to compare their car experiences with other that we all have raised expectations about what we should expect and demand in a car and a dealer. So the smarter car companies are "measuring" our experiences to see if they are meeting our expectations. It's also a way for the companies to keep the dealers up to grade. My salesman and sales manager were absolutely paranoid about getting a good survey from me. Just as they should be!KSNeptune.
