While working on project "Boston," (codename for my current mod project), I took the time to reroute the wiring for my XM antenna. I removed the FM antenna base, dremeled out a whole, and ran the XM antenna through the base...I just need to find some sort of sealant now so I can stop the rain from getting in. It rained last night unexpectedly, I had to run out and put a plastic bag over the antenna to try and divert the rain away from the base. Hope my headliner isn't soaked this morning. It'll work anywhere, pretty much. I actually used some to seal up the StreetGlow 20" neon tube behind my front grille.

Picked up some windshield sealant silicone today...it's clear, should do the trick...there were like 8 diff kinds of silicone, was unsure which to get, so i went for the cheapest. *shrug*That means ripping out the headliner yet a third time this week!

I didn't HAVE to reroute it per-se...but before I had it going down into the groove between the hatch door and body, then it snuck under the rubber grommet for the rear window washer fluid nozzle...I just feel it looks much more professionally installed this way...
