Does it feel like a fuel cut-off..? What about in and out of gear?

let me guess, revs to about 2800 and then cuts out? MAFS is your problem, (Mass air flos sensor) I somehow "broke" mine when putting in my CAI. Had to get another one and the great thing about working at the dealership was I warrantied it haha...but yeah, pretty secure guess thats your problem.

thanks everybody, it was the maf sensor. pontiac sucks i could have got it under warrenty, if i wouldve taken off my nitrous and intake and wait 3 days for the part to come in from columbus.every toyota dealer in cleveland had them in stock. so after a trip to autozone, then to toyota, then170 bucks, and another trip back to autozone to clear the code.(i couldve just disconnect the battery but thats what got me into this mess somehow). i can rev again whoohooo!!!!

Yeah, but cherry, if you have an intake, the wararanty is void. They will not cover it if the problem happened because of you. It has to happen with the stock components.Inder

I think Sherry had his covered with his intake... but I didn't take that chance, I ripped mine out after the failed install and drove in with stock airbox. but I think Satur9 said he had more then the intake?

I wish I had seen this thread sooner. ..I blew my maf once because i forgot to disconnect the battery when I went to clean the MAF. The 3k thing is safety mode. I drove for a week like that...I actually got pretty good at it...but my turbo would only just start to spool...it really hurt my feelings!, anyway, I wentt to car-part.com and got a used one from an 03 corrolla...The salvage yard UPSed it to me and I believe it was $40-$50 ...Ive had it for about 7 months now..it works great, and is the very same identical MAF

I'm thinking thats how I might have blown mine, I had it connected when I reconnected the battery... and I know at the meet it was connected after the battery was...

I think they covered mine cause i told them to ask the big boss (Kelly pontiac as in Kelly racing) if a CAI would harm engine or the warranty. they fixed it. I think the nitro is what did it for saturn9
