I absolutely HATE winters..heh...Michigan would be a MUCH better place without winters...but I am sure that not everyone could agree with me...maybe if I could drive better in the "winter conditions" I would enjoy it much more..hah...o well...

Welcome! I'm kind of a noob to this site too! If your boyfriend really wants to make your Vibe "go fast", this site is where he'll hear about all the goodies that can make that happen!I used to be a Michigander myself (born and raised in Flint), but moved out here to California in `75. Hey...at least people in Michigan know how to drive in snow! Out here, people "freak out" when it rains!Anyways, enjoy the site. Many nice people here!Steve

Welcome! My Base Vibe does not suck in the snow though...To your BF... Germany does not built the "best cars around ever", think about VW. Engine sludge issues now and up until recently they had the worst warranty around. Want more, my wife used to work for them, Audi/VW... Huge price difference between an A4 and a Vibe, you should buy her one then! Hey BF, lets race, pick from the below!

But do not forget Mercedes was rated very low on either satisfaction or qualtiy just recently. I forget exactly what, quality I believe was it. Nevertheless, they are having issues. Quality gaps have closed lots over the years and if people do not realize it they are kidding themselves. The worst vehicle now a days is still better the the best vehicle qualtiy wise ten years ago.

Welcome to genvibe!! I too bought my vibe because of the mpg. I drive 80 miles to and from work every day, so it kinda takes the sting out of the gas pump. Where do you work?

REX's and Vibe's are no where near the same playing field or class soo you can't really compare the two Eac has it's own advanteages and disadantages
