I just got my vehicle back from the dealer. I had the Minnesota Protection Package put on. It consists of A thicher clearcoat over the paint, underbody rust protection, and interior leather and fabric protection. I also had them install a rear bumper protector, the chrome exhaust tip and the 3M hood protector (which is a 8" clear tape). Wow! What a difference these few additions make. I take and post some pics as soon as the weather permits. Next, i'm looking into roof racks and rear spoilers. Well, Im ready for winter. We're suppose to get some snow on Sunday. Bring it on!
Well, here is a pic of the 3M Hood Protector. It cost $199 installed and is removable and replaceable. I think it is much better looking than a bug shield even if it is more $$$. You can barely see the line where it ends:
I got that protection on my hood also, helps against stone chips, has come in handy. before I had that on I got a few chips, since then I haven't noticed anything.

Instead of starting a new Thread, I figured I could continue on this one, since it's about the exterior protection... I was on the Pontiac website and noticed:Corrosion ProtectionPontiac vehicles are designed and built to resist corrosion. All body and sheet metal components are warranted against rust-through corrosion for six years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended. See your Pontiac dealer for terms of this limited warranty.Does that mean that they recommend not waxing your car? or are they talking about something else? cause I wax my car 2-4 times a year, I couldn't imagine not waxing it for 6 years. Whelan would die if he waited six years!
Cool. Never heard of that protection 'plan'. My front bumper looks like a star system now, so kind of worthless to me. Soon as I get a job that dont require 30 miles one way highway travel, the cause of the star system (Thanks trucks and bugs), I'm getting it painted. Good to start from the begining with protection.

The Minnesota Protection Package, should I take the low blow and ask if it had bridge protection put on it?Ok too low I guess, but I know someone else was thinking it.
