Going camping this weekend...aaah natural hot springs! Anyways...looks like I will be able to put a kid's single bed foam mattress in the back of my Vibe. Unfortunately, when folded down, the back seats don't meet the front seats. But that gives me room to fold in the extra 1 foot of the mattress down between the headrest and the front seat. Comfort for winter camping

For some reason, this topic makes me think of another recent topic on this forum....Especially if you take this post out of context...quote:Just put your head near the rear end and your feet to the front. You'll be fine.quote: We love pics.

I read the topic of this post and what cues in my mind? Musicbow-chicka-bow-bow for the uninitiated an attempt to mimic 70's style porn music. Not that I would know anything about that of course.
Won't you please be...my neighbor?Hello neighborKevin

If you are not much more than 5' tall there should be plenty of room. I'm 6'1", and would have to stay folded up to sleep back there. I think you've got a great idea, though. Have a wonderful trip.KSNeptune.
Yes, there is 8' of length if you measure from the dash to the tailgate. But the front seat doesn't fold level with the rear deck. It folds flat, but higher than the rear deck. When I sleep, I don't bend that way, so useful sleeping area is limited to the rear 5' area.Nice try, though, Salsa!KSNeptune.
Just got back! Myself (female 5 "6") and my daughter (6 yrs old) slept in the back on the mattress and it was great! I was able to completly stretch out, and would have had room to spare if I had moved the front seat up further. I agree that a tent is usually the way to go, but at -2 degrees outside the Vibe was my preference! One concern was the humidity on the inside of the windows in the morning. I had left one window open about an inch but the windows were still soaked inside. And I mean super soaked! And man does she need a bath, inside and out...Sure handled well on the logging road In regards to the previous posts..nope, no hanky panky this time
