Pin B3. Two black wires.

i'm sorry i have no idea where pin B3 is, do you have a diagram ? -- i used the black wires for ground ... and the other two that are black are for speakers.

Did you get a wiring harness? Or just cut up the factory wiring?

Look on the harness in the car. One pin has two thinner black wires coming from it...that's the pin you need.Connect the blue/white wire from the head unit to that pin to activate the amp when the HU is on.

Depending on the head unit you got, you need to find some output from it that is +12 when the head unit is on, and use that signal to turn the amp on. In the stock Moon & Tunes setup, this is a signal the wiring diagram calls "antenna amplifier positive voltage" Pin B3 is the pin number for this signal on the back of the stock head unit. If your new head unit doesn't have anything like that, it probably has a power antenna line that could be used.the wiring diagram for the stock M&T setup is at http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...o.gifthere's also some discussion of the signals and pinout of the stock head unit in http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6799

If it doesn't have blue/white, then use the solid blue wire, which is for power antenna. You'll still need to run the blue/white to the car's wiring harness, as the Vibe uses a powered antenna. On stereos where you have both, if you use the blue wire, you may lose sound whenever you switch from FM, as some mid and high-end stereos will turn off the power antenna when not on the FM/AM tuner.

i have the white/blue wire in the head unit, it says amp turn on, and says not to plug into power, also says antenna on it. i got a wire harness but it doesnt have that pin on it, what is the extra wire from the original head unit for ? the one that was connected by itself in the little connector. thanks.

Use a quick splice to attach the blue white wire to the pin with the two thin black wires on the CAR. The metra harness you bought likely does not have a blue/white wire. Just splice the blue/white and the EITHER black wire to each other...What colour is the other wire you're talking about?

i set it up quite easily, works fine, well except for the pop once the unit volume is turned to zero, or when it is turned off, you guys werent kidding abou the rca popping, i think its worse than it was made to appear. i will start to experiment with it now, its gotta be a mute control problem, it only spikes when it looses power.

There IS a mute conrol wire...the second harness you unplugged from the radio, that has just hte one wire coming from it, is labeled as "mute control" in the srevice manual...

yup i realized that, but where to plug it in, i dont think i have seen a mute wire on the head unit, hence the popping since the stupid thing isnt getting the right commands.

Nope, there is no mute control output on the headunit. Some might have a wire called "Mute control", but that's an input for use with a handsfree car kit to mute the radio for incoming/outgoing calls.
