Floating around the GMI forums, they had a thread on the new Holdan Torano TT36 concept car. This car is based on an extended version of GM's new Kappa platform. The rumor is that this car could be used as a starting point for a NEW Pontiac coupe...Here's the thread:Quote, originally posted by GM Inside News »Here are pictures of the Holden Torana TT36 concept From the Sydney Auto Show. This car is based on an extended version of the new Kappa platform, which GMI reported on last week. This new platform is rumored to be the possible basis of a Chevy coupe (Camaro?) and a new Pontiac. That leads us to guess this is the "mystery Pontiac", eluded to in the scan of a dealer magazine that GMI published this weekend. The new Pontiac would likely follow the same 4 door formula as the Torana to distance itself from the Solstice and GTO. It is also rumored that this platform will accommodate the GM OHV V8 engine series, which makes things a bit interesting! I bet GMI's article on the 4 door Kappa that got published in Car & Driver makes a lot more sense now....The Basics-TT36 stands for Twin Turbo 3.6lIt will be a 4 door Hatchback3.6 litre v6 twin turbo 280kw Alloytec was hand built at Holden engine plant in Port Melbourne6 speed manualDifferential Ratios 3.73:1Brakes Ventilated disk 365 mm front and rear6 piston front / 4 piston rearwheel / tyre 20" x8" 245/35-20 10 spoke 20 inch alloysColour is luminous , look at me pink - dubbed ManGentaIt is a 4 seater interior is minimalist black and whiteSeats are 8 way electricThe roof is is a panoramic glass roof extends from the steeply naked windscreen all the way to the back hatch. The project was originally called XP54 ,reflecting the acronym eXperomental Project and coded 54 in recognition of holdens so called studio 54 design workshop in out suburbs of Melbourne
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Sweet car! Not too fond of the white upholstery, pink lighting, and the gauges, but those would surely be changed before production. The front end is very sharp though...makes me think of a crisper and updated combo of the Mazda3 and the 03-04 Vibe. Just hope it wouldn't be watered down too much if it's coming to the US market.

it would be cool if the accent lights matched the color of the car i think it would look good in blue i dunno if i like the all glass roof idea but the car looks good and with a twin turbo v6 that puppy should fly. looks like 280kw is 375hp if i do my math right. ok i want one now.
