Another Newbie

Post by dartagnanpluck »

Just got my AWD 2 weex ago and I am digging it. I just want more power. Even my wife complained. I am a but bummed about the engine "changes" for 2005 that make the 2004 and backe bolt-ons incompatible. Any leads on Injen or any other CAI for 2005 year yet? I need something. Or should I just make one out of PVC Thanx to all for the other useful data. Maybe I should go turbo after the warranty expires....

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to GenVibe! The AWD is the lowest in HP, but you can definitely waste any other Vibe certain driving conditions. You will just have to stay on the lookout for performance parts for the '05. If you can't find a CAI, you may want to consider a short ram.

The CAI for the '04 AWD from Cosmo Racing fit my 2005 AWD just perfect. Wasn't a huge gain, but was definetely noticeable. Welcome to the site. Luckily, I have found that most of the parts that fit the 04 will fit the 05 as well.

Thanx for the encouragement everybody. Glad to hear that Cosmo's fit the 2005. Where can I get a pic of that CAI? Does it dip down into the front air dam like the Injen or is it just a short ram? How much$$ I would like a real ram-air rig, but I am afraid of blowing that dang sensor like I did on my Honda. (ooh, he said Honda.... )
