Cat-Back vs. Axel-Back

Post by bjlarson »

Are there any performance differences between the two?I know the Cat-Back will not work on the AWD. Will the Axel-Back work or is it basically the same problem with modifying it to the extra bends in the pipes on the AWD?

unless you get one custom made, there are neither for the AWD. you could go custom, for prob about $400. i just gave up and got a high flow muffler put on. not a huge gain, but you can feel a difference in response.

Does the High Flow muffler sound louder/quieter than the cat/axel-back systems?

Does anyone know the difference in HP gained between the Cat-Back, Axel-Back and a High-Flow Muffler? It would be nice to see an comparison.

From what I have seen on the GT's, the car gets like 9 horses at the wheels for an increase which is insane for a cat-back exhaust system.Inder
