I am getting my first vibe this week. It is also the first car I ever sought out and really looked forward to getting! I didn't ever think I could afford a car I would really be hyped about but this is it! I got the moonstone color and think it is just super slick looking. They had one on the lot they were trying to get rid of so I got a great deal! It has the moons and toons package as well as the sports package, automatic, and power options and even leather seats. Most of those I would never have sought out in a car but how can i pass it up when its only going to be $5 more a month then my basic saturn sl2 is? I love this car and can't wait to fiddle with it and get my hands on some aftermarket accessories! Any reccomendations as to some must haves?yeah!!!!!
Its just the base.. couldn't afford the GT and didn't want the AWD but I did get a great deal! $850 below invoice They really wanted to get rid of it i guess?
Congrats on the buy. First thing I would recommend doing is breaking the car in, then think about getting aftermarket components for the car. Trust me, after you get an intake, you're not gonna wanna keep the RPM's under 3500. It jus sounds that good.Inder

First off, welcome to the Club. You will learn a great deal from this site...just do a search and you will find everything you need. If not, ask and we shall provide.Second, congrats on the new purchase. My first car was a Saturn SL1, then a Honda Civic....and now my pride and joy....the Salsa Vibe. It is a great car, with some minor annoyances, but nothing that you won't figure...but will overlook with the overall performance of the car.Third,....just remember on this site, there are not stupid questions, just stupid people who don't ask the question. You won't learn anything if you don't ask.

if you're looking for performance mods for the base auto, check out the engine and trans areas as well as forced induction! SEARCH is a great tool to help locate many of the frequently asked about topics such as lowering springs, cold air intakes (cai), chips, exhaust, and of course.... SUPERCHARGER!!!!and how can i forget the turb-OH!
