Just had my 4th LOF at 11,400 miles. Also my 2nd Tire Rotation (1st was done at 4,500 miles). On iinvoice, "Mechanics note: The lowest remaining tread depth is 8/32. This is satisfactory. Tires are cupped - may need alignment." These are ContiTouringContact tires - 16" on steel wheels. I have heard the the leading cause for alignment is an alignment. Do I get a second opinion? Where should I go for an alignment? Pontiac dealer? Toyota dealer? Tire specialty store like Discount Tire? [BTW - the tire rotation was Free with a coupon in a recent Pontiac mailing. The LOF is part of a dealer Oil Change Club $119.99 for 10 LOF's.}]

Well an alignment check should be done, but I can't say much good about the OEM Conti tires on the Vibe either. As for who should do the check, at least here in Ont, the dealership alignment vs gary down the road alignments seem to be priced about the same.

According to my former mechanic, my tires cupped because I didn't rotate them often enough (I waited about 30,000 for the first rotation). Oops ...That, and the OEM Conti's suck.
