The front looks very nice! But the side skirts and the back are kind of bland. I realize it's not done yet, but I'm excited to see how it turns out.

this is a 05 prototype right? Well you know you'll have to design it a little different for our 04s but ppl are crying out in the streets for one haha. All I can say about the back (removed) of that is yeah, looking a little fat but not in a good way. Though a duel exhuats would be killer, is there any way to design it so its not so flat? that would make it look better IMO if it had some curve to it.But everything looks good!

Just a thought. Then the back would not look so plain.

Yes I know the back is plain. It is one big curve and its not done. neither are the side skirts. The sides will probably have a vent in them. The sides of the back bumper will have gills like the front, and we are still debating what to do about the center rear.So that is why the pics posted now... For feedback and comments. They are appreciated and will not offend us we just ignore the ones that we don't think are good advice. Thanks and keep checking back for updates.

(hint hint)well yeah, I mentioned the duel exhaust opening, maybe make that an option for those with duel exhausts, looks tacky when you got a car with only one pipe but two holes lolWell the GTR kit has a long vent in the back, unfortunetly I can't seem to find a pic of it. I'm looking at the back end of my diecast GTR.

i think to make it universal, you just get rid of the cut outs! make it one long thinner line like on the new cougar's lower rear bumper. i'll see if i can find any pics of what i'm talking about.here's a pic i found off cardomain. they added dual exhaust, but you can see how the rear bumper has just one long solid line, no cut outs!
Beautiful work guys! I like it how it is, but I also agree with the idea of adding a grill to the back end. I saw a car tonight with a mesh grill opening in the back bumper and it looked pretty sharp.
ok, so i started to play around w/ photochop tonight and before i knew it, i had a mock up rear bumper.... granted, it's not photo quality or anything, but you'll get the idea (i think ) may have to play w/ a few "variations" too.. but that will be another time!
No problem Silver, common mistake. I'd love to make a road trip to go see it in person, but sadly I just don't have the time right now. Saving up my vacation for one of the summer meets. I'll get my miles in one way or the other. I'm kinda liking the looks of the kit though. Can't wait to see it completed. Nice to finally see one in production!
Hey, all are welcome to visit if you want. I have a deadline that is getting closer and closer. Still trying to get it all in. Just put in the Injen Cai and HOLY HELL is that fun. Waiting for the NOS kit to arive to get it in too. The front bumper is almost in its final stages, then to the skirts. They are getting a vent though Don't know exactly what till it happends. Still working on the rear bumper ideas also. Keep up the ideas and we'll keep discussing them and Thanks for the input.

It's coming along nicely!I got an idea from looking at the cougar pic posted above. What about relocating the Vibe license plate to a cutout in the rear bumper, and cleaning up the tailgate? That would break up the vast expanse of the rear bumper. This is a super quick & dirty two-tone version with dual exhaust, but monotone could look similar.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
that's what i was thinking too... but then you'd have to do modifications to the rear hatch on top of just the bumper! that would be really expensive. i think they are planning to market the bodykit after the sema show.... so it would have to be something people could afford.
