I had a electronics shop install power locks on my two front doors and alarm system on the car for all the doors and hood with bump detection on the suspension. Couldn't tell you what brand...

I had powerlocks installed on all 5 doors by a local shop (they do car audio and locks installations). Don't know what brand of actuators they installed... they do work just finewhen i shopped around, i encoutered pricing from 550USD (what i paid) all the way to 8509USD.the shop i went to is across the street from my dealer. the service manager at the dealership referred me there... as this is where they would send a vehicle out to have this kind of work done anyway.i would say that the key is to look for a shop that does a lot of them. practice makes perfect
Salsa 2-tone Basecargo nets, liner and seatback storageThe best thing about having my previous car totaled in an accident is that i got a Vibe to replace it
I bought a set of actuators off of eBay and have installed quite a few on other cars, so I didn't think this would be a problem. When I took off the door panels, I didn't have anything to attatch the actuator rod to. I'm still stuck as to how to complete the installation.Anybody who has had these professionally installed willing to pull of the door panel and take some pics?

I do not think that is a lot for all 5 doors. You have to consider, the actuators, other parts and all the labor to remove the panels, work in tiny spaces and re-assemble. Also considering the different types of actuators to choose from, if there are any. Maybe this place used GM approved... How much do you think it should cost? You get what you pay for.I work on vehicles and door spaces are tiny plus fasteners can break and need to be replaced as you do door jobs, not fun.

I know there are quite a few people who would love to see how the pros are doing this. If you live around Madison, I'll take the door panel off, take the pics, put the door panel back on, and then buy you dinner!

i do all the budget rent a car glass work in our area so next time i do a vibe or matrix that has factory locks i will pull the panel and snap some picslast one i did i did not have enough time to look
The factory power locks are much different than the aftermarket ones. They use a different latch assembly that has an actuator built in. I have diagrams of the factory ones, but they don't really help for installing aftermarket ones.
