Post by JustPassedU »

Hey, My name is Tyler and I drive a 91 DSM. Recently I've been driving my mom's vibe gt for gas reasons. I'm impressed with this car and wanna know more about it. Well, hello all.

Hello Tyler and welcome! The Vibe is a great car and there are many posts here that cover just about anything that you want to know! A great feature here is the search to look up previous forums and posts. There is a ton of information from mods to repairs and just general information about the Vibe. Are you thinking of getting a Vibe? By the way, great choice your mom made with the GT..

Nah, I'm gonna stick with my Talon, but with gas prices the way they are I'll be driving the GT for a bit. (Except for friday night cruises) I have been really impressed tho because it gets 30mpg and halls. The sound system is also good.

Welcome part timer! How bad Gas Mileage do you get with your DSM? It is a 4 Cyl AWD with turbo? Thought those cars got OK mileage. Have you modded your car?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Currently my Talon gets around 12 mpg, (Can't stop spoolin the turbo) and I think I have a bad O2 censor. My DSM is only slighly modded with a boost controller, turbo timer, intake and I'm pretty close to being able to throw on my coilovers and my front mount. My mom's Vibe GT is the one that is silver in color with the dark gray moldings. I enjoy hitting lift seeing as I just discovered it after reading some of the threads on this site before I joined, I also enjoy how easy it is to bring the car to 8K rpms and just sliding it into second without delay. I'm trying to be as gentle on this car as I possibly can, but it seems to be holding together pretty well. I don't know much about the drive train, but I'm assuming it can't be any worse from my talon. Thanks again for the warm welcome and I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you.Tyler.
