Hello! I'm sure most of you have noticed problems with your paint. I read all 8 pages of the topic below on paint problems. What I would like for everyone to do, is, if you have a problem with paint, please describe it fully, and if you have pictures, it would be fantastic if you post them! Please try not to discuss the topic under this heading, as I am going to go down to my dealer and show them this topic, and show just how many people are disappointed with the paint quality. I want to see anyone with paint problems leave a posting, so Pontiac will see what is going on with their cars! Thanks, and I'm sure Pontiac wouldn't want the bad publicity of a Class Action Suit now would they?( In the U.S.) You can file a formal complaint with the NHTSA at http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/* I couldn't find anywhere for us Canadians to file a complaint, if you find somewhere please let me know! *Apparently they compare all the complaints and see if there is a pattern. If there is a pattern, they will investigate... Just a thought!

I noticed the other day after washing and waxing my '04 base Vibe, there were still "bug guts" left on the nose of the car. After closer inspection, it was actually pits in the clear coat! Not only does that look terrible surrounding the nice PONTIAC BADGE, I noticed that my hood has scratches all over it in the clear coat as well! I couldn't believe my eyes, so I tried to scratch a bit of the "bugs" off of the nose, but to my surprise, my fingernail left a dent in the clear coat. Never in all my years of washing my parent's Grand Am, Alero and Ranger have I seen anything like this! I absolutely LOVE my Vibe, but if I have to drive my car around like this for the rest of the lease without PONTIAC not doing anything (ie. NEW, GOOD PAINT!) I don't think I will buy out my car like I had planned. I'm really hoping something can be done about this, or maybe I'll walk my self down the road to the Mazda dealer and drop my buy-out cash there...

Oh yeah, 2003 Lava two-tone has chips all over the place. Even the windshield has about 100 very tiny chips in it. Even with the front-end cover, the pain chips on the hood.

i had to use touch up paint to cover some of the chips. i've got a hood/bug deflector and still a lot of paint chips on the hood. had to cover and seal them since a few were starting to rust! crappy (removed) paint no doubt! i figure sometime next year i'm gonna be forced to repaint the whole front end! it's pretty bad.
I don't think this is the appropriate place to complain-NHTSA. The S is for SAFETY. Paint issues are not a safety issue, therefore this will fall on deaf ears. Yes, they do look for trends, but with vehicle safety in mind.
