I don't mean regular bikes I mean motorcycle.. I started to look into them and I think I want one. Not just any bike I like this one. Its a Yamaha YZF-R1 price $10,699, 998cc, 20 valve fuel injected in line four cylinder making 180bhp, 6 spd tranny, aluminum frame weight about 375lb, top speed 185mph, and redlines at 13,750rpm you can hit 100mph in 1st gear. Awesome... I like!! Any other bikes that you might know of like this or better?http://www.yamaha-motor.com/pr....aspx

I like the R1's, and if i was in the market for a crotch-rocket, it would be an R1 or an R6, just because they look cool. I have a SV650S, and it is plenty fast for me.Beneath the speed though, I just love Harley's. I had a 2000 Super Glide Sport that (modified) that would pull 2nd gear wheelies, was loud, beautiful, and could cruise in relative comfort (lost it when i got divorced). I plan on getting another Hog, probably an Ultra Classic or a Softail Deuce.Have you ever ridden a bike before? If you haven't, I would STRONGLY recommend NOT getting an R1. Go for an R6, which is cheaper, almost as fast, and you are less likely as an unexperienced rider to wreck. Plus, insurance on 1000's is really high. An R6 has about 130HP and is way fast enough to get in trouble. (i.e. still runs low 11's/high 10's in the 1/4, where an R1 runs low 10's)
If you have never ridden before I can guarantee you will be a splat on the road with that bike. I started off with a ninja zx6r and that was even a bit too fast to start with, I have ridden many dirt bikes and quads but sport bikes are so fast it is not funny. R1's are death on wheels.
