Trouble finding door speakers for the 05

Has anyone found a door speaker that will fit the 05's. I guess the depth is an issue?

I made up a speaker install on my 03. Not sure if anything has changed for the 05's or not, but I don't think so.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=785

I was told that there are some kind of new magnets on the back of the speaker that are alot smaller than the avarage speakers so the depth of an aftermarket speaker wont fit. I found one pair of pioneer speakers in crutchfield, but i didn,t like them so i guess I'll have to keep looking.

If depth really is an issue, Infinity has their 6002i series 6.5" speakers in a slim-line format known as the 6002si. Circuit City has them. Sound almost as good as the standard reference series, but much more compact depth-wise.

Okay, honestly, if you're really worried about depth, you can bring the speakers out a little bit with the 1/2 inch spacers or in my case I used 1 inch spacers all the way around. I have the Pioneer 4-way's. Sound quality is great.Inder Singh
