ok, it's only 2 wks away folks! we need to get some specifics for the meet!1. where in the parking lot should we meet at AMC Courtney Park? also, we need a map showing where this is located, so anyone have a physical address and we can look it up in Mapquest.2. where do we want to eat for dinner at Colossus? we need to call ahead and make reservations so we aren't standing around for 2 hrs waiting for a table for 20 people! also need to get a map for folks to see where it's locatedso, let's get this figured out and finalize all the little details! we've got a lot of people coming from out of the area, so they won't know where to go!
AMC Courtney Park's Address:110 Courtney Park Drive, Mississauga, ONYou really can't miss it. Exit off Hwy 10 (Hurontario St.) and go North (about 1 Km or so) On the east side, you'll see World Vision Canada offices (you know, the charity place!). On the West side of Hwy 10 you'll pass a (golf) driving range. It has an enourmous Tee with a Golf ball sitting on it with its name in bold red characters "The Practice Tee." As you approach the complex, visible from the street will be a Family Fitness, a Montana's restaurant, a Denny's and a McDonalds. If you cross Derry Road (the next Major intersection with a Shell and Petro Canada Station) you've gone too far. As for WHERE to park, i'm sure it will depend on where there is space given that it is a Saturday nite.oh, and before anyone asks, yes: Hwy 10 = Hurontario St.Famous Players Colossus's Address:3555 Highway 7 West, Woodbridge, ON As for Colossus, its major intersection is Hwy 400 and Hwy 7, just north of the 407. You can see it off all of the highways, but truly, you can't miss it: Its a giant UFO. I'm not as familiar with this area, but there are TONS of little inroads and passage ways here to go with its abundant amount of restaurants, so hopefully you guys will be able to find your way around. OH...and if you're on the 400 and see signs for Paramount Canada's Wonderland (our version of 6 Flags), you've gone way too far!Hope this helps - good luck!
This might help too. Its an area guide for Woodbridge. I'm not sure how comprehensive it is, but hopefully you guys will be able to find a restaurant in that area.http://woodbridgeon.ags.myareaguide.com/And FYI for the out-of-towners: The 407 is a toll route!

thanks mista! now trying to figure out the map on colossus, i'm assuming it's right there on colossus dr where the 400 and 7 meet? so now, what restaurants are there so we can all vote on food.

Yup. You're right. The Colossus UFO is right there. Dave & Busters is right on the other side of the 400 where that Commerce St. and Interchange Way is.As for restaurants, all I know is Alice Fazooli's. But like I said in another thread, there's over half a dozen places to eat. And it's not like any of these restaurants will turn away a group of 20 (BIG TIP!). Hopefully, if I've got some time I can run over there, scope the place out and jot down all the places for grub.
that would be awesome! cause i think w/ a large group on the way, we'll need to call ahead for reservations so we're not stuck for 2 hrs waiting for enough tables.

ok, today's the day! out of towners staying at the Holiday Inn Toronto West, mav and i are going to head out of woodstock about 4 pm, so we should get there about 4:45-5pm to meet up w/ everyone. then about 5 til 6pm, head over to the Mcdonald's parking area in AMC Courtney park. 1337trix will meet us all over there and lead the way to Alice Fazooli's at Colossus about 6:30-6:45 pm so we will hopefully get to the restaurant about 7-7:15pm. I called and made reservations for 7:30pm. afterwards, we'll head over to dave & busters for some fun and drinks! looking forward to it everyone!
(Hope I picked the right thread for a mid-meet report!)I had to bail early, but as I type, a motley assortment of Vibe and Matrix owners should be squabbling over the bill at Alice Fazool's, preparatory to moving on to the next establishment to be graced by their presence, Dave and Buster's.It was great meeeting so many far-flung members face to face and ogling their machines: Lots of great toys (love those "flapper" light bulbs, Mike!) on Raginfish's; enough plumbing to supply a small town under the hood of Devlop's Turbo, great wheels galore, etc., etc...Hope the rest of the evening went well gang!
it was great to meet you guys! nice to finally put a real face to some of your names here. hopefully next year we might be able to entice some folks for another road trip or plane trip to MONTREAL! i hear that's a pretty fun place.
