Adding Sub to M&T

Post by johnnydanger »

I have a 2004 Vibe with the M&T Package. I want some more base. Is it fairly easy to add a sub or would I need another amp? Could I just connect a sub to the amp that came with it? Can anyone answer this for me?

You would need to add another amp, that's for sure. You can tap into the amp harness under the passenger seat for the sound input. I'm not sure off hand which wire exactly, but just to give you some idea, you will need to run:-Power from the battery w/ fuse.-Line out converter to convert wires to RCA's (at the amp harness)-RCA's from line out converter to aftermarket amplification-Ground as short as possible from amp to metal chassis of the car-Remote tun on for the amp by the amp harness also you can get that.Hope this helps. If you run into any problems. just IM me.Inder Singh
