Unless I can find a CF overlay for it to match the CF hood. How about an overlay that will make the edge of the lights look chrome or give it an alteeza look to it?

yup, i painted it, i used satin black not flat, bumper black will look good to, take yur time masking off the lip, the radiuses are a ***** to get nice and round with tape so what i did was the next day when it was dry, i used a little laquer thinner on a rag and tightend it over the tip of my finger and i wiped the edge lightly to smothe out threradius dont worry the laquer thinner wont harm the oem paint, just dont let the wet rag sit on the paint to long. i get alot of props on that mod , i did the front to and ill post pics tomorrow.
wow! that looks great! wonder what it'd look like in another color like.... oh RED? lol. but i think that'd be too much color contrast for my tastes at the moment. definitely interested to see what the front bumper looks like.
Oh, come on, folks. It doesn't look better. It looks a little different, that's all. I used to customize my cars like crazy, too, until I realized that's what kids do. No harm intended - just letting you know what's coming when you, too, get over the hill. You will, too. Count on it.I used to have a new '67 Firebird 400 convertible that, I thought, looked much better than anything the factory put out. I now realize it wasn't better... only different. I loved what I'd done to it, though, just as you guys love what you do. All the more power to you and your imaginations. One of these days you just might, as have lots of others, come up with something different that makes you rich!Have your fun with this little stuff while you can, because someday you'll be involved with wanting to change really important stuff. That won't be so easy. Trust me.
what the hell was your point? this is a car ENTHUSIAST site we like cars we like to personalize them, i have been doing this scince i had my first car and plan on doing it alot longer, i cant speak for all but there is more to life than beeing ritch! i could buy an escalade on "dubduces" if i wantet , but after i paid off my car i felt like it was time to have some fun, iknow everyone is entitled to their own oppinion but take your sorry a$$ to the old fogey forum and let us pontiac vibe owners"personalize, customize, have fun, and whatever else we want to do!" and encourage each other at the same time, i guess that is why i mainly post on matrix owners cuzz i dont ever see B.S like your post ever printed! no offense to you others but this guy is outaline! huston we have a problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you!!!!!!!!!!
oh, and what makes you think we all lead such insignificant lives and not have anything important going on, i cant believe you, i am a FATHER of 2 beautiful kids and they supercede any and all activities i have you dont know any of us so dont pin your regrets on us., jeazzz i cannot believe this guy!

It's obvious my point flew right on by and you don't have a clue. Being so defensive and quickly to assume, it kinda looks to me as though you're already over that dreaded hill. At least I got old before getting that way.Have a nice life pin-striping your cars and applying decals here and there.Hang in there. Maybe one day you'll undersand and be saying what I'm saying. Like I said, it went right over you.
come on! beauty is in the eye of the beholder. and why so negative. if you don't like to personalize your vibe, then that's up to you. but for those of us enthusiasts here, we enjoy it. not just enjoy it, LOVE it! if you don't like it then ok, but don't be putting everyone else down because we want to mod our vibes. you need to re-evaluate your attitude, houston. no need for being rude here.

Like I said, it went right over you.No, YOU are missing the point here. As cliche as it sounds, most of us enjoy life to its fullest and spending time in what we like to do. Putting time, heart, and inevitably money into hobbies is no less a part of life. You are pointing your cane at a lot of FAMILY men and women here, not a big group of highschool kids (no offense!). I, too, am a father, 27 years old and have been busting my (removed) since I was 14. I KNOW my priorities, LOVE God and my family, but also know it's OK to have fun, spend a bit of what you earn with hard work, express yourself, and have interests - boring is not fun. The fact that I haven't thrown life to the wind also helps.I am sorry, but I am still convinced that age is but a number. I play video games, damnit, and can whip most of you whipper-snappers out there!

Well put Psychobroker! I hope this issue can now be dropped and the topic can be brought back on track... and to help with that, from my observations, this overlay appears to change the amber rear turn light to red, correct? Is this just an overlay that is put over the amber section of the taillamp? and I assume it is on the exterior?Nice work on this! Interested to see it in person.
haha I'm a 26 year old video gamer still, I'll take you on there C man haha.Looks good with the overlays though not really my thing.Oh and anyone saying the older you get, the more you grow up and spend less money on the car is wrong. Go to a car show, some of the best are owned by old geezers

BlueBat thanks for coming up with those redout and hope to see more projects for the Vibe..HeLL it looks NiceI just wanted to add this before we really end about the Houston thing.I met drayday55 himself and his loving family also had the chance to test drive his Supercharge Vibe. He's a family man and I know he had any choice from any cars he wants, but he choose the Vibe - Hell he can even pick up a Viper today if he wants. All I know is he loves what he does to his Vibe and works hard to make it the way it is.If he wants it he gets it .. SuperchargeAqua Mist injectionTrans CoolerDVD Setup$2500 WheelsAfter reading Houston's post and quote "One of these days you just might, as have lots of others, come up with something different that makes you rich!"I wanted to say HeLL with you...drayday is already a Happy, Rich enough man.His own new House. Two beautiful kids.Very supported wife. He's like his father who buys new cars to help out others in need.Well Houston I hope you learned your lesson to $h%t your O if yo have nothing nice to say.Seytan
Has life made you that jaded, that cynical that you cant share another persons joy. Has being over the hill as you put it covered your glasses with entrails or garbage. What happened to the joy you had when you modded your car. As for changing the world, good luck, you cant, you havent, i cant and none of the people in power have done much to change this world for the better. I'm 40 years young and loving modding my trix. First car I have ever had an interest in doing anything to. Maybe I should get on my life and quit trying to find the joy when and where I can. Maybe I should join you on the sidelines and be the dark cloud of doom and gloom and rain on peoples parade. If you've got nothing good to say....... well in your case.......you'll ignore that. The youth are our future, hopefully when they get to be your age, they wont see themselves as being over the hill but just climbing to new heights. Enjoy your life.................. Meanwhile my joy is I get my car back out of the shop today and get rid of this Toyota Echo. More mods to come and a lot more fun to be had. This is the first car I have modded but it wont be the last.

I have customers ranging from 16-50 something years old. Aren'tv we all young at heart? Anyways, glad I'm able to do some stuff for you guys. I'm looking forward to some pics so I can add them to my Vibe Gallery . Batâ„¢
Looks pretty good but I thought you were getting blackouts, thats what I wanted My mom allways tells me not to waste my money on my car because I will regret it one day...honestly I will NEVER see that happening. I love cars more than my own life. My dad is 45 and he still loves cars and bikes more than anything...in fact he's buying custom kregars for his Ford Econoline van.I completely understand what your point is Houston, but some people WONT grow out of it. I personally would rather have a garage for my car than a house for me. I love cars WAYYYYY more than houses or anything else ever.
Just thought I'd chime in....thanks for the photos drayday, I may just do the black trim paint on the front and tail.... I'm on my 3rd Vibe. These cars are great...I'm 42 years old and cars are my hobby. I am luckily blessed with a wife who enjoys cars as much as I do. I think I drive her nuts sometimes, but she hangs in there with me. I've owned 29 cars in my life, ranging fom Iroc-Z's to an M3 Convertible I have now. I'm customizing my car because boring is no fun and because I enjoy driving into my stuffy office with something different. The M3 is bright yellow no less! I'm also rebuilding a Pontiac Fiero Convertible. Being 42, I understand where Houston is coming from....but I've learned that in life, we all need some kind of release, no matter how old or young you are...and for us...it's our cars! Being older, I can do things to cars that I could only dream about when I was young because of $. You guys are so lucky now that you are able to do this stuff and enjoy it at a young age. I'm actually a little envious of that! I think this chat line is great. For the most part it is a helpful positive site and I enjoy sharing very much with you all. The Fiero site I sometimes visit is not even close...they are as negative as negative can be. So far I've tinted and striped my car and will be adding the 2004 2 tone rockers to my Monotone. I'm also going to get 17's for summer wheels. Photos will be up as soon as I can. Let's keep it positive and keep it fun! Later all!

Batâ„¢Bat, i've got some side graphics and your red outs on the way, so once i get them done in a few weeks, i'll get some good pics and post them for you. i can't wait til they're here! seriously, i've been wanting to red out those tails since i bought my vibe over a year ago!
My Car, with the kit on. it looks awesome! come and check it out, tell me what u think.P.S. the gray will be painted momentarily http://www.cardomain.com/ride/514882/1
you use a few drops of dish soap in water in a squirt bottle, clean the car first! then you position the overlay and squege out the bubles and let dry, dont use a credit card ittl scratch!
not to copy you, drayday, but the painted front lower bumper looks interesting. i busted mine in march when i went into the snow bank from doing ebrake slides. oops. that would be a temporary fix (or atleast appear that way) to my expensive goof up. i have a replacement lower bumper but it's currently sitting in a giant box (and i do mean GIANT) in mavrik's basement until i figure a way to ship it here. but i think that would work and look pretty good to do something like that so it's not so noticeable. your vibe looks great!
thanx trd, yup, it would mask the damage pretty well, i would reenforce it from the back and bondo and smooth out or whatever. then just mask off and paint!
Hey man, what are the chances of getting these in smoke? How much would the tint affect visibility? What about the red out and a smoke overlay? I need sleep....
