Hi everyone. New to the boards here. I think if I read things right this is where we make our intro's at. My name is Jake. I live in Michigan (between flint and lansing) and I actually pick up my new vibe tomorrow. I got a 04' vibe GT. Seemed to like it better than the 05's after reading on them it seems they scaled down the options and power on the 05's and the 04's had much better incentives. I've been a Mod. over on the http://www.v6z24.com site for a couple years now. Since I've been driving J-bod's for about a decade or so. Thought I would step it up a bit. I work as a GM designer in Detroit on the full size pick up line. and usually have a lot of inside scoop on what's to come. I mainly wanted a vibe for it's storage and mpg's But I test drove the GT and well let's just say I couldn't resist. It's the Fusion Orange GT moon and tunes, Power package, 17's and well everything but those stupid (removed) spoilers that look like crap on it anyways. I really think this is going to be an awesome car for me. and from what little I've read on here already it seems the overall consincous is most really like these cars.Anyways Just thought I'd say hello.
Welcome fellow Michigander! First car I raced and moded was a 1987 Cavalier RS. Won two trophies with it, got me through college, had it for 11 years and put 130K on the engine then traded it in to a dlr who sold it on their used car lot since it looked and ran great. My second car was a 1998 Z24, had it for 2.5 years and then had to get rid of it for a company car. Modded that car too!
welcome! glad to see another gt owner! and oooh you got the fusion orange montone! love that color! you'll have to show us some pics of your vibe and let us know of any mod plans.
awww.... yep i love that color! that's how phil got my attention. he flashed his fusion orange vibe at me and i followed in aww. "wow... look at the pretty color!" LOL
My first J body was a 98 Cavalier, sold it for a 96 Sunfire GT and sold that for my fusion 04 Vibe. Your car looks pretty cool and exactly how mine looked when I first got it. Now it turns heads looking like this. http://preeve.photosite.com/~p...0.jpg

The next big change isn't really impressive. We just finished up the 08's and are working on the 09's currently. The damn thing is huge now (GMC and CHEVY) We also do all the SUV's and Avalanche. The next design actually looks almost identical to the Titan truck. Oh and thanks for all the compliments. Not sure what I'll do to it. RIghtnow just work on paying it off I think LOL! But seeing as there's a nice size aftermarket already I might test the waters. I just helped out with a 3400 swap into a 2nd gen cavy. So I've been playing around with all sorts of mods lately. (easier to mod something you don't owe on I think) Might start simple. CAI, exhaust, talk to the boys over at crane and see what kind of performance cams they can come up with. Although this is pretty peppy as it sits. So we'll see.
Hey, a bit late on the welcome wagon, but welcome follow fusion owner! We're doing our bit to add some color to the roadways! What about the power issue? My 03 vibe had the same power as my 05, at least thats what i've read. Was i misled?
