(removed). I installed this thing three days ago and it is going blow up the car, the whole thing, engine, transmission, and clutch. I'm sure of it. The problem is that I am now addicted to the lift sound. I am hitting over 8000RPMs in every gear I can, all the time. I guess there is also a performance boost, but I don't even care about that now, I just love that sound. I am driving around with the windows down in 93 degree weather just so I can hear it better. This is going to wear off, right?I may need help. . .P.S. I may be in real trouble because I got the Magnaflow exhaust sitting in the garage, just waiting for the weekend so that I can install it. I'm doomed . . .
once your trips to the gas station increase, the urge to max it out will start to fade. I am getting mine delivered today and cant wait, but too bad it is the womens car
i have had the cai for over a year, and i still love that sound. i just got my new muffler 2 days ago, so now, i have an even bigger urge. its like trying to quit smoking!

Haha yeah I had to tone my driving down some after the initial high was gone. My gas was going down the drain so I let off the peddle. but every now and then I still rip it up some and still shift around 3500rpm just to hear it start to purr.

Congrats on your Injen and Magnaflow combo. I'm sporting the same stuff on my XRS. Try hitting lift in a tunnel, overpass, or parking garage...freakin' insane! I've had my intake installed for almost 6 months now and I still love to hit lift with my windows down under the overpass when I drive home.Watch out with the Magnaflow, you can break traction when transition into lift in 1st on a wet road...heh heh.If you want a preview of the Magnaflow/Injen combo, check out my videos at my website. http://mase.neptune.com"Magnaflow Exhau..." and "XRS Top Speed" are peoples' favorites.

Quote, originally posted by Mavrik »No I want my clutch and my fuel to last a little while.ha ha ha! always about that gas! i don't have an exhaust (and i probably won't get one for awhile if i do) but i have the TRD cai and unichip in my GT. and yes, i love to hit LIFT and whenever i can (after the engine warms up) i'm redlining it. i usually shift about 5K rpms when i'm trying to "conserve" gas but still get the power. and since i average 27 mpg, with hitting LIFT every morning i drive to work and then some, i figure that's pretty darn good. i fill the gas tank once a week. my comute to work is about 26 miles round trip and i drive a lot of city miles for work w/ my job. sure beats the 15 mpg i was getting in my tundra! and fill ups every 5 days at $35/tank! even w/ my lead foot, i'm still saving over $400/mo b/w gas, insurance, and car pmts. wheee! oh i miss my car...... can't wait til i can drive it again. hopefully tomorrow!
i just install my k and n 2 days ago love the sound.im coming home today and in the freeway they have those concrete dividers in the middle and on the side so the sound echos. well me and this yamaha bike behind me were just going at it, we both had our engines screeming off the walls, it was fantastic.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!

I scared the crap outta two kids yesterday with the injen. was pretty funny, they were crossing the street, taking their time while I waited on an up hill grade. Well I revved up to keep from rolling backwards as I eased off the clutch and that mightly roar send them flying off the street so fast I sat there laughing. (LOVE the dark tint, no one sees what I do in there...)Maybe the base clutch is not as crappy as those GT ones but I'm still not going to redline shift all the time. Not sure about you guys but this is my first new car and its my baby.

i know i know! don't go up to 6000 rpms! LOLwho's gonna pay for phil's gas??? and it's not the GT, so no 6th gear! but this is my 4th new car... (thinking back: 98 ga, 00 cougar, 01 tundra, 03 vibe) yep, my 4th.
The London Auto Club (LAC) meets several times a week and on their saturday night cruise from one location to another there is a long tunnel we drive through. Everyone with standard transmissions put their cars in neutral and rev the engines. those exhausts and CAIs from 30+ cars is incredable! What a rush.

I watched your vids and now I really want a CAI and an exhaust for my ride. I love how the exhaust sounds and that chirp going from 1st to 2nd.

Kevin had is old dual for sale. I think Poopypants is buying it though. He got his for like $200 he said. When the warentee expires in July I'm getting a dual for mine, so anyone that wants a Borla GT catback that was custom fit to a Base center pipe let me know, I'm taking orders for next July;)I've had my CAI for about 6 months and I just got the Borla a month or so ago...I'm allways gunnin it everywhere. I also cruise with my windows and radio down jsut to hear it! It's better than music (removed).
