Hello everyone! We've (my wife Lisa and I) just recently found this site yesterday and thought that we would like to be acquainted with other people that are enjoying and have a same interest as us, VIBE! We've had our Vibe for about 15 months and have thoroughly enjoyed it. We purchased a new 03 GT. in the abyss color with all the bells and whistles and currently have around 13k very enjoyable miles on it. We've done a few mods including an Injen cai, wheels, strut bar and a few minor mods. Next week I'll be on vacation so we'll be having the Eibach sportline springs installed and window tint. We also bought a NOS wet system but are reluctant to install it until warranty runs out. We live in Lafayette Indiana, have 2 wonderful children (boy and girl) and there are tons of vibes on the roads here! We're looking forward to reading all the interesting topics you all have posted. We really like what you all have did with your Vibe. The last couple of meets looked fun, wish we would have found this site earlier and been able to make them. We'll post a pic or two of our Vibe as soon as we can. Rob

Something to keep in mind for next year. You just missed our Ohio meet. We had people come from all over -- Tennessee, New Jersey, even Indiana -- to meet and celebrate one common interest -- Vibe enthusiasm! You can see the wrapup here: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=11970We have 2 major rallies for sure each year: Michigan and Ohio. We also have a few other smaller ones scattered throughout. I'm working on one on the Jersey shore for next summer. There's one coming up in Toronto in just over 2 weeks, but I know it's short notice.I'd encourage you to come to a future meet, show of your mods, and check out others! It's well worth the drive. Never had more fun that I've had in the past at GenVibe rallies. And of course, all of our rallies are family friendly! Bring the kids, they'll love it.Welcome aboard!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Thanks for the welcome TRD, What do you think about PU? I have alot of relatives that work there. I had alot of good times there when I was younger and single! Have you ever heard of Hot Summer Nights on the last W/E of July? Entertainment, food, beer, live bands on both sides of the river and a really nice car show with about an hour or so cruise on the streets of downtown Lafayette. Thats alot of fun to see, especially all the bunouts. The police are pretty cool about that, they block off the streets for the cruise. Maybe it could be a future meet. I think it would be really wild to see alot of Vibes cruising together. I bet we could gain alot of attention! It's open to any type car. This year I wanted to enter my Vibe but I had to work during the day and wasn't able to make it to the car show part. There is a cruise in at a one of the local McDonalds the night before also. Anyways, just a thought for now.
Thanks for the welcome Joatmon, Thats pretty funny that someone else used the other parts for their name. Looks like he don't come around to often though. Maybe he sold his Vibe
Thank you for the welcome ragingfish, Yeah, Ohio isn't that far for us to travel and we'll really try to make it next year for sure. Michigan isn't that far either, so we'll most likely try to make that one next year to! Jersey might be interesting, let me know when you get things together for it. Toronto is really out of the question for now, but if it were this next week I'd be on vacation and try to make that one! I'm due for a nice long drive and some sight seeing. Thanks again
Welcome to Genvibe fellow hoosier. I'm in the Fort Wayne area. next year I'll also be going to the michigan meet. your vibe sounds like it has a few mods already, I've lowered mine and other mods not as extensive as you though.(nos mmmmm)
Thank you for the welcome! (Born and rased hoosier here) Maybe we can meet up and follow each other to the Michigan rally next year.. Would be kinda nice to meet up with a few of the members in other areas as we go along to! Did you install your lowering springs yourself? I'm not sure if I'll do it myself or have someone do the install and alignment, I have one quote for both at $240. Not to bad I don't think.

Michigan meet sounds good to me.I put my springs on myself in the driveway last december 26th with hand tools,(except for mounting the springs on the struts, hires auto parts here in town did those for $30 each.) only took me 2 to 3 hours. $240 doesn't sound to bad really $120 for mounting the 4 springs on the struts and $120 for install and alignment (which shouldn't be to bad).
I think I'll have them installed, I don't really feel like doing them myself on vacation and I have a ton of things to do to the house, plus if they screw something up then I don't have to pay for it. Sounds like a nice Christmas present! I'm thinking that last year at that time there wasn't any snow, so you got lucky there
