Wh00t, snagged one!

Post by Red5 »

I've been dealer shopping for about a month and I finally signed on the dotted line for my Vibe yesterday!I'm getting a bla.. I mean Abyss with Moon and Tunes, Power package, auto (I'm lazy and tints. They threw in the rear bumper strip, the floor mats, the cargo mat for the back and a snowboard rack! I'm so pumped... tints were finished today and they're putting the accessories in/on tomorrow after detailing. I get to pick it up thursday morning at 10 am. WH00000000000T!!

There's a coincidence for you! I'm also picking up my Vibe (a stripper Frosty* base 5 speed) on Thursday at 10! (It came in on the 30th, but I was out of town 'till today.) When I ordered it on Sept. 12, my dealer was able to massively re-work an order already in the system, so this may be a Canadian delivery record for an ordered vehicle!*(I think of it more as a blank canvas for my planned re-paint and assorted other mods.)

I just purchased my vibe on saturday. Shadow with the monotone. Will put an alarm on to add the power door locks in the next month. I love how it rides!!! Can't wait to start modifying my Vibe

Congrats on your new vibes guys! They actually called to say I could pick it up tonight, but I'm leaving it until tomorrow cause I really want to go over it thoroughly. I visited it tonight (haven't thought of a name for it yet - Black Beauty is completely appropriate, though thoroughly cliche) and was overjoyed - just want to get it into the sunlight to make sure it's perfect. They've got the rear cargo mat in (gorgeous), tints on (fantabulous), the snowboard rack on (wh00t!! YES!! FINALLY!!) and all washed and cleaned. The only sad part is that the floor mats (rubber ones) are on backorder. Thankfully I have my own. If you drive in Canada without rubber floormats in the winter, you are indeed officially nuts. Then again, I'm the one contemplating where I'm going to be able to find space to wash and wax it in the winter.

Well I picked her up today. Everything I could have asked for. I'm uberpleased - didn't have to pay for the accessories or anything! ZING! The only thing that was missing is the shift lock cover, they're ordering me one. I'm really shocked at the stereo - it's great! My tints look fantastic, but since they were just put on, when I went to a drive through, I had to open the door to order I got some pictures and I'll post em soon.

That's great! Glad everything is all and more than what you expected. If possible, can you find out the part number of the shift lock cover when it comes in? So far I have not found the part number from GM and my Pontiac dealer couldn't find the part in their system. I just have the Toyota # and would like the GM # for reference. Thanks.

I've got my dealer looking into the part number - he was just going to pry it off the next automatic that came in, leaving some other poor Vibe-en-ator without one. I quickly steered him back to the straight and narrow, and he's going to get that part number, at which point I'll let you know immediately.
