reno? my best friend when to undergrad at UNR. went to visit a few times. really, aside from the mini casino's (not really even on the same par as vegas unfortunately) i don't recall there being too much. other than the mustang ranch but that's closed now. LOL
Reno, shmeno...drive to Lake Tahoe! It's only about half an hour away. Take US395 south to Mount Rose Parkway (Hwy 431). Takes you to the north side of the lake at Incline Village. Next to Emerald Bay (on the opposite side of the lake), probably the nicest scenery there. Heck, do the whole lake drive (about 75 miles). If you don't want to leave Reno, check out the National Automobile Museum. Lots of cars before 1940 and the restoration work is amazing.Don't know how much time you've got, but there's light whitewater trips on the Truckee river west of Reno.Oh...and visit Juicy's hamburgers...and don't forget a milkshake. Ummm.
He's right, Tahoe is awesome, I have family in Tahoe. and I highly recommend the whitewater rrips on the Truckee. Just don't swim in the lake @ Tahoe, it's a little chilly. Also, if you can find the time to get to Squaw Valley, you can have a snowball fight in the middle of summer.

The wife and I can't wait to go back (went in late April-May)Their house is huge they probably do j/k. They want me to come out there, they said all I have to do is buy a ticket, and don't bring any money, but unfortnately with the wedding next year, I have to be tight with my money and vacation time. I have not seen their new house in person, but the pictures are amazing.
