Power door lock button

Post by ewakko »

Ok, so I'm a noob with my vibe, I admit it. I don't use the power door lock button often, but when I tried to unlock my doors, I thought there was a standard Down=Lock, Up=Unlock. It was backwards. Is my power door lock button reversed, or is this a European model ?It's not specific in the manual, it just says Press the power door lock to lock/unlock all the doors.

No, that's the way it is. If you think about it, if you manually push the lock forward, it locks, so (to me at least) it makes sense that you push the button up to lock the doors.

I had a Pontiac Sunfire before this, and that's what I got used too. I might start driving on the wrong side of the street now too.
