Thinking about doing some interior painting

Post by ArcsVibe »

Hello everyone!Since I am on vacation this week I thought about doing some interior mods to the Vibe. I would like to know if anyone has painted any plastic pieces in the Vibe and what paint they've used? Thanks!

Yeah Hope's is awsome, I'm tempted to paint mine also but would have to paint it fusion... otherwise its current colour actually matches and blends with the gunmetal nicely.

the first time i did it myself. turned out well (so i thought at the time). but then i had it done professionally and it looks so much better! and that part for the ebrake, i honestly don't think it'd work well to paint it. the material would probably flex too much and the paint would peel or chip. but i'm no paint expert. what about covering it in vinyl?

Hey there Sam!When I painted mine about a year ago, I used Testor's spray enamels, and the finish is holding up flawlessly (well, other than a couple subsequent "accidents" ie installations ). I used 2 undercoats of copper, three coats of transluscent blue, and 3 coats of clear. However, were I to do it again (I may, depending on how my next interior project comes out..), I'd probably use something else. Perhaps Plastikote Metalflake. Here's a couple pics - not as good as Hope's job, but I'm still proud
