Header?

Post by nismo »

Hello everyone, hope all is well. I have a question. I know there was a header for sale on ebay. My question is that did anyone get it and install it? And if they did, did the header do anything for them? HP increase or Torque increase? Jus wonderin. Inder Singh

I have another question. What exactly does JP stand for? Never heard of the company. That's why I'm asking. Inder Singh

I'm not sure what it stands for - my guess would be that it's the owners initials or something like that. A lot of Trix and Rolla owners that have the SC use both the JP midpipe and header on their cars.

I has been my understanding that the exhaust manifold on the Vibe already is like a header and is very good for being original equipment. Unless you have done major engine work or added forced induction, it is my opinion (based on what I've seen and heard) that you won't gain much from changing the stock exhaust header. I didn't read that thread yet on MO, so maybe someone over there has found differently.

JP stands for the owners initials. Jose PulidoThe JP exhaust is very well made. It is only available for the 1zz engines. The stock exhaust manifold on the 1zz engine sucks. The exhaust manifold on the 2zz is designed like a header. You probably wont see much performance gains from the header without FI.
