Ipod my Vibe

Post by hwm187 »

Hey guys. I'm new to this board. Just bought a 2003 Vibe. I also bought an Itrip for my Ipod and it is terrible. I'm looking for some information about installing an Ipod into the car's audio. I have the moon and tunes package, with the single cd player, not the 6 disc. Preferablly, i would like to have RCA outputs on my dash. So any help about what i take apart, what i buy, or if this is even possible. Also, if anyone has gone to a car audio place to have this installed, tell me about it. (prices, design, etc). thanks.

Your best option for integrating the iPod into the Vibe is to replace the head unit with one that has an auxiliary input. Sadly, the 2003 head unit is not able to accept an auxiliary input.Other than that, the only way is the iTrip and I know how bad those are.

There've been a few threads about a JVC FMmodulator setup from Crutchfield that's had pretty good success rates..
