It will work. I just replaced my PCM myself about a month ago and the car runs great. The check engine light is still on but it only reads (missing/mismatched VIN number) I'm just to cheap to pay a dealer $75 to program the VIN number into the new PCM. I took mine to the dealer to have them verify that it is the PCM and it was. They wanted $358+tax for the PCM and $75 to install and program the unit. I ordered a new one from gmpartsgiant.com for $241 with shipping. Just call them and give them your VIN# and they can look up the correct part number...
