Any one out there know where one can find data on the typical lifespan of a 2006 auto trans for the base vibe? Ihave been told they are very reliable but have found no info on failure rate or at what mileage one would expect failure?

I have a mechanic who works at a tranny service looking at it Saturday. The HARD shifts disappeared with the CE light. He is running diagnostics and checking ohms both hot and cold. Says it could be a wiring issue or a bad solenoid and this is the best way to determine. Thanks for your input.

Read an earlier thread on this solenid going bad. My problem is slightly different. Check engine came on and had two different freinds with computer diagnostics say this was the problem.
