The engine itself will fit, but like I said, the fitment parts specifc to the Vibe (engine mounts, intake, exhaust, etc.) will have to be used. Not a problem, just use the exisiting parts when the rebuild is ready to drop in.

A good bit of the '03 Vibes were first produced in 2002, so they'd still use a 2002-produced 1ZZ-FE.If the motor is out of something from model year 2002, that's different.

'02 1ZZ-FE out of what? It'll swap over almost completely, but if it's out of a different vehicle (like a Corolla) you'll need to use some fitment parts from your Vibe. There may be deals on remaining 2009 models, but last I heard, the GM/Toyota NUMMI deal has them still producing the Vibe through 2010.
