It opens too far, bumping into cars next to it. Ever heard the saying "never park next to a 2-door car"? My previous vehicle, an F150, didn't seem to get into other cars as the vibe.

door swing

Are there any topics on how far the front door swings open? Has anyone modified their doors for this? The door swing on vibe remind me of a 2-door. Thanks,Terry

Re: Water leak (star_deceiver)

Long story short... I took it to auto glass place (actually he came here). Turns out the windshield had been replaced and not well. About half of the windshield was not glued across the top and a coupla other spots showed water intrusion. He tried to do a reglue but, of course, it broke. New windshi...

Water leak

I have an 06 base vibe. The leak is coming from the plastic cover on the driver side windshield column, right where it meets the roof cloth. It appears that it accumulates while the car is immobile and it rains. The water pours/drips only while accelerating (1-2 tbsp), after that, no more... even wh...

Or... you could try going to the hardware store and asking for an M6 X 15mm bolt. This means a 6 millimeter diameter bolt that is 15 millimeters long. I pulled it out and checked in case my lack of posts worries y'all and the fact that I've worked with metric fasteners for 40 years gives me confiden...

The bolt is an M6 X 15mm. You could get away with anything up to 20mm long. Any hardware store'll have what you need.

Re: (Old Tele man)

[QUOTE=Old Tele man]...technically, you'll get the best fuel economy in the highest gear, at the lowest rpm that doesn't "lug" the engine. With the dbw system, can you "lug" the engine? If so, is it the same as the cable/linkage carbs?

Two things: Do the throttle reset trick( posted elsewhere in the forum). It worked nicely for my 06 but I had to redo it every cupla days. 2nd thing, when I put new tires on, it was a completely different vehicle. I guess the electronics on this are sensitive enough that the difference in tire diame...
