Update

Called Toyota (Toyota Town in London, ON) today for a price on the Actuator for the fresh air vent (They refer to it as a Damper Servo). They quoted me $207.40 just for the part with no installation.I then called GM (Brian Finch) and they quoted me $68.40 big difference there. I then called back Toy...

Glad I found this mine just started doing this at 79K, taking the dash board apart doesn't sound like too much fun Are you guys sure you need to take the dash off? There must be some way to get a socket on that head and then use a small wrench?

Re: Scratched! (philndz)

I just got back from the dealership and the job they did was a lot better, but I can still see imperfections in the clearcoat but I'm not that picky. I know it sounds otherwise. The guy at the bodyshop did give me the rest of the paint though. The bottle is about the size of the 4th one in from the ...

Scratched!

My wife parks our car underground and the other day she was pulling out of the spot and decided she would drive thru it instead and she ran the right rear side of the car along a pole. The car doesn’t even have 2000k on it yet. Luckily the damage was very minor scratches to the plastic trim over t...

I too have the tape. But it looks fine to me and I have no intentions of taking it off. I don't have any problems with mine though. (i.e. peeling off or bubbles).

Re: Conti Tires > Evaporated!!!!! (ragingfish)

My brother in law has Goodyear Eagle RS-A P205/55R16's on his car and just the other day he notice he had a cut in the side wall from who knows what. The point of the story is though, that when he went to buy a new left front tire no matter where he goes they run $190 - $240 Canadian a tire. That ju...

Re: Vehicle Tracing System (Salsa!)

I went back to the dealership tonight and the guy that usually does it wasn't there, but my salesman had the guy show him how to do it before he went home, so that I could go after 6:00pm. It was the simplest thing that I have ever seen. The serial numbers come on a sheet of 12 and they are blue rec...

Vehicle Tracing System

I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this feature on their car. Supposedly with all new GM cars they have a serial number etched on all the windows so that if you car gets stolen the thief would have to replace all the windows in the car which is very expensive. My brother in-laws Vibe sti...

What's your Octane?

I was just glancing over my owners manual and noticed that according to the manual GT owners with the 1.8L (L code engine) are required to use 91 octane or higher. I don't know about you people but owning the Base vibe with the Code 8 engine and using 87 octane or higher at 83 cents a liter at curre...

Newbie Question

I was just wondering, I have noticed that when I go into any forum topic that it only lists the first 5-10 posts. At the bottom it says, "Show active threads from last: Use default". You can select all the way from Default-to-All. Is there anyway to make "All" the default. I want...

Re: Hope nobody ends up with this one! (Rouse)

Oh and I forgot to say hi everyone. I just got my Vibe on the 3rd of this month and I love it. I was about to buy my third Volkswagen when I walked onto the local GM lot and there it was. The dealers son had ordered it and was tired of the 5 month wait. He ended up buying a Sunfire and I ended up bu...

Hope nobody ends up with this one!

Found this picture while looking for Vibe pictures. I don't think that dealers or salvage yards should be able to sell cars like this. My brother in law bought a 1995 Volkswagen Golf that had been in a similar accident but didn't know that the car was written of by the insurance company of the previ...
