Dont feel bad ,my 2010 2.4l Vibe does the same thing,kinda annoying because it feels like its also wasting gas.My 2.0l, more than 10yr old Rav4has better "response" than this vibe,you figure that Toy Eng would have solved this by now.

I wonder if the 2010 models have the same problem? If not whats the difference b/t the 09 to 10 since the only thing I can think of is the month they were assembled.

I got the 2010 base 2.4l last month and the first thing I had done on it was to install a dynomax super turbo muffler on it,not as great or $$ as a full blown cat back but it sure made a difference in pickup and sound.A nice rumble at idle but not a super growl (loud) when you punch it plus no annoy...

That is one SWEEEEET setup!!!,yes any pics esp the 3" hose installation. Unfortunately that KN cai is a little too rich for me, so for now a better oem air filter.BTW can anyone tell me if the 09 Toyota MATRIX 2.4l air filter is the same as the 09 Vibe 2.4l??

Well I went ahead and replaced the stock AF with one from WIX.It has a foam like material and fits really well in the air box,still would like to get a aFE one day. Now for some "around the town " testing on mpg etc.

They do sell the filter for a 09 corolla with the 1.8l engine,I wonder if the filter from that would fit a 09 2.4l vibe???

Unfortunately aFe does not have one for a 09-10 let alone for a 2.4l engine That is the kinda filter Im looking for.

Now that I have a better exhaust system on my 2.4l Vibe, I looking for a less restrictive but with a good filtering medium air filter. Ive seen drop in K&N ones but I dont like its filtering efficiency.And then you have your CAI that they dont have for the 2010 model or if they do they cost $$$....
