AWD Rear axle seals

Our 2003 AWD Vibe is in for it's THIRD rear axle seal replacement!The right rear went at 39K, the left rear at 49K, and now the right rear again at 61K!Is anybody else having this? I saw one post on Edmunds, and that's it.I hope this is not going to be a continuing problem.

Rear axle shaft seal leak.

Just an F.Y.I., I noticed oil dripping on the garage floor from our 2003 Vibe AWD, and traced it to the right rear axle shaft seal at the rear differential.The dealer (as a warranty repair) installed a new shaft seal and replaced what they said was a 'defective nut'....I'm still trying to figure tha...

Yes, I opened the plastic box containing the DRL control module. The recessed end cap of the plastic box surrounding the connector, is very easily pryed out, it's not glued. The circuit board then slides out of the plastic box.The pins from the wiring harness connector inside the module make a right...

I wanted to see if I could make mine a bit more 'stealth' (easily reversible) in case of future warranty repairs, and I also wanted to gain full control of the foglights.I think the two versions of the light mod that were posted here by Hawke & Vibeowner were excellent, and I thank the gentlemen...

DRL / Auto Lights / Foglights Mod.

I performed the Disable DRL / Auto Headlights mod by cutting Pin # 8 (alternator sense) & grounding the circuit board end to Pin # 2 (ground) inside the DRL control module. This avoids having to cut any of the harness wires, and is easily and discretely resoldered if I need to return it to stock...
