Re: How many miles on your Vibes?

Just went past 283,000 on my 2009 Vibe GT. I'm amazed to read about people with the same car who have such low mileage! How do you do it?

Goodyear Eagle GT versus Eagle F1 A/S-C

Hi all, It's time to replace the tires on my 2009 Vibe GT. Right now, Goodyear is running a promotion of an $80 rebate on the Eagle F1 A/S-C and $40 rebate on the Eagle GT. However, I can get the Eagle GT tire for about the same price as the F1 A/S-C (before rebate) from Discount Tire. The Eagle GT ...

Wash and Run

I read through Whelan's great posts on the whole nine yards washing and waxing of your car. But what if you're short on time and just want to so q quick wash and rinse? What's the best products and method to use when you just need to clean up the car and get off the surface gunk like bugs, road tar,...

A coworker just bought a 2010 Vibe after seeing my new Vibe and she got over $3000 in incentives. GM has $2500 cash back on the 2010 and the dealer added the $750 manufacturer to dealer incentive. Looks like they want to unload the last of the Pontiacs as fast as possible.

I read somewhere that there's a $7500 federal tax credit for Volts so that knocks the price down a bit.

I saw a post at Edmunds saying that GM is now offering $2500 off of 2010 Vibes and sure enough, a quick check of the local dealer site showed $2500 off until August 31st for a 2010 Vibe GT. I guess I should have waited a week!

Everything I read when deciding on a new car said never get an extended warranty from the dealer. There are national outfits that provide the same coverage for less. Rust protection = No. I read the same "Advice for New Owner". Maybe a 2009/2010 version is in order?

Yeah, it's kind of cheesy looking but I was thinking it might protect the tip against corrosion. I've already noticed a spot where it looks like a bit of corrosion has started and this is a "new" car. Not sure how long it sat on the dealer lot.

It will be interesting to see what GM posts up Monday. I bought my 2009 Vibe GT on Thursday and it was the last on the dealer lot and you could not find another in SE Michigan. I used the Credit Union special which was supplier pricing plus $250 cash back. That's supposed to end Aug. 3rd. If the 200...

A question on oil changes. In the past, I've either done it myself or had my local mechanic do it. But I noticed when I was looking at used (before I finally decided on new) that some Dealers are tracking maintenance so that it appears in Autocheck and Carfax reports. I know I can keep my paperwork ...

Brand New Vibe - Best practices?

I just purchased a 2009 Vibe GT. This is my first brand new car so I want to treat it right so it will treat me right! For those who have owned Vibes, any recommendations for maintenance besides what's outlined in the user manual (or what would you do different than what's in the manual?) I'm in Mic...

I'm interested in adding a few things to my new GT including this:http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/r...97926Is it best to go through GM or are there other sources that are as good and cost less? Thanks!

I just bought my new 2009 Vibe GT today. It included Automatic Trans. and Sunroof. OTD price was $20,530. Since I'm a credit union member, I was able to get Supplier pricing plus $250 cash back. Total incentives were $3250. - $2000 GM Customer Cash Back - $500 Dealer Cash Back - $500 Manufacturer to...
