Re: Consumer Reports likes the Vibe (DopeVibeGT)

FWIW, I frequently go by what they say. They're one of the reasons I bought my Vibe!I didn't see the latest article, but I did see the comments they had before. And they generally love Toyota and Honda, so this car was halfway there to "recommended" status.

Just out of curiosity...what color is your Vibe? An old buddy of mine used to describe the color that Pontiac calls "Lava" as "Arrest-Me Red."

Re: February 2003 Sales (Frosty)

Count me in that 5,162. You have to figure that number was helped by the 0% financing or $2000 rebate that ended on Feb 28 (I took the $2000).

Re: tent for the vibe! (silverawd26)

I already have a tent. The add-on thing looks interesting for times where pitching a tent isn't a good option. Yeah, I know...but it's still kind of freak-show interesting to me.And never you mind what vestibule I'm putting my equipment in.

So did they pick their nose, or did they just use the third-world Kleenex (the nose partially pinched between fingers) and blow all over the spot?

Does this version seem any more appealing? It depends more on the camper sleeping in the vehicle...and a guy like me would have to hang his feet off the back. At least it would keep the 'skeeters off!

If you're tall, do yourself a favor and sit in one that has moon-n-tunes before you order one. I can't fit comfortably in a moonroofed car, even the Vibe.

Nope...not on the window sticker. This vehicle was a dealer trade, and I suspect the place my guy traded for it had done a little too much undocumented customization. As my son would say..."Sucks to be them!" LOL!

Exhaust tip

I just got my Vibe, and it has the monotone package. I just realized that it appears to also have the (dealer installed) exhaust tip, but it wasn't listed anywhere in my documentation, and I know I didn't specifically pay for it. Is that part of the monotone package, or should I just shut up and be ...

Re: Hey Fellow PA Vibe Owners...........where are you? (Stang2Vibe)

Sounds like they got rid of the Intrepid just in time (you too, LadyHwk). I had to replace the transmission at 80,000 miles. I complained about it on the Intrepid forums I could find, and I caught nothing but grief for not "maintaining" the transmission. And I also tried to get Chrysler to...

Yeah, I know the recline-and-lean-forward trick, for sure. I've used it before on a few of my cars, and normally it's not a problem. Perhaps I didn't fool with the demo car enough, but even with seat adjustments, it was a little too tight for me.And on a side note...I didn't pick the car up today. W...

Thanks, folks. I can tell you right now what it will be:Base Vibe, Salsa, with the "monotone appearance" package. I really didn't want that too much, but I couldn't find any in stock without it, and I wanted to get in under the $2000 factory rebate. I think I'll still like it, though. I he...
