Re: 2009 Vibe won't start

Yea as soon as I found I had voltage there I put her back together and tried it, nothing. Later, I took off the fuel rail and put a ton of rags under the injectors and had my wife turn over the car a few times. I'm fairly sure all injectors spat a small amount of fuel onto the rags for a second or t...

Re: 2009 Vibe won't start

Does anyone know where the fuel pump relay is located?
Can't seem to find it in the manual or by visually inspecting the fuse boxes under the hood and dash.

Also does anyone know where the fuel filter is located?

Re: 2009 Vibe won't start

Sadly there isn't an Autozone here, looks like I'll be using a hammer.

I'm thinking I should open it up and take out the fuel pump, then try to run it to see if it runs.
If it doesn't, then order a new fuel pump.

Re: 2009 Vibe won't start

Ok took the rear seat out and found the top of the fuel pump.

Took off the connector, 4 pins
One has current when she cranks.

So from reading online I need a special tool to take off the cover for the fuel pump.

Re: 2009 Vibe won't start

So I pulled the spark plugs. Counting from the left, 1, 3 & 4 fire nice and bright. #2 is EXTREMELY faint So I switched plugs 1 & 2, the plug that resides in #2 always fires faint. The plug that was in it, operates fine in the #1 position. I then changed (what I call "the boot") (i...

2009 Vibe won't start

Went to start my 2009 1.8L Vibe this morning and she won't start. Battery is good, she cranks fine, but won't start. Can't hear the fuel pump, so I'm suspecting that. I can hear a relay "click" under the hood but I know that could be a red herring for many reasons. I put the battery charge...

Good to know.
I'm trying to go for the OEM look, as I really like the look of the silver rack.

Thanks,

Well crap.... I did 3 winters with that annoying light and I thought I'd treat myself and just buy the bloody sensors. So you are 100% sure that the car can only remember 4 sensors at a time, and the dealer (or a tire shop with the right tool) can reprogram them. I was reading that the sensors just n...

TPMS on 09 Vibe (GM or Toyota Technology?)

I finally broke down and bought 4 sensors for my winter tires from Cambodia Tire for $50 each + tax. I had them installed in my new winter tires/rims (not at CT don't worry), did the "learn process" on my 09 Vibe and they seemed to work fine for over a week. FYI I did the "learning pr...

I'm having this exact same problem.I believe it has to do with the new ID3 v2 tags as opposed to the ID3 v1 tags. My older MP3s work just fine, but most of the new ones do not (even burned on the same CD).I've been meaning to do a test, just haven't thought of it when I was burning my CDs.

Re: 2009 Fog Light Bulb Style? (peacock)

I ordered the parts from the dealer back in October. The bezels were $25 each, and the fogs were $125 each (CAD).They wanted $897 for the wiring harness, I decided I'll make my own.The bezels have arrived, but not the fog lights They are on back order.

Yea I was thinking about doing that.A friend of mine owns a tire/wheel shop so I may take the car down to him and test fit some 15" rims.Too bad the bolt pattern is 5x100 because I have 15" 5x114 already at home, with winter tires.

Will 15" steel rims fit on 2009 Vibe 1.8 Base?

I've been reading the forums and I can't find an answer for this.I have a base 1.8L 2009 Vibe, and I was wondering if 15" steel rims would clear the brakes?

Adding Foglights to 2009 Base Vibe

Hello all,I recently purchased a base 2009 Vibe, however I didn't want to spend the extra several thousand for the package with the foglights. I do however love the look and purpose of fogs (all my previous vehicles had foglights). Is there an aftermarket kit for the 2009 Vibe yet?(I'm guessing no)I ...

New 2009 Vibe

Hey all,Just thought I'd introduce myself.I recently bought a 2009 Vibe (base + power package) for a daily driver to replace my 2007 Yaris (that met an unfortunate end). You may notice that TRD at the end of my name, that's because I race a Formula 1600. It started life as a Formula Ford but had the...
